Zeo Brothers is a division of The Zeo Group that provides OTC equipment rentals — The first site in the Zeo Brother WordPress multi-site setup. Features a WooCommerce store and multiple custom plugins and interactions.

Custom Site Design

Complete redesign of old site into a modern, responsive web site. I built three comps for the home page and general site theme. Narrowed down to a single comp, revised, then created tablet and mobile comp versions. Design also included a logo refresh, and tracing/drawing raster version of logo shapes.

Zeo Brothers Wordpress Theme

Coded the designed comp into a responsive WordPress theme using modern CSS3 and HTML5 technologies. The theme is flexible enough to be used throughout the Zeo WordPress multi-site network with minor variations. Designed as a parent theme to be customized via child themes. Coded using SASS, HTML5, and jQuery.

WooCommerce Plugins

In addition to the custom theme implementing a full styling of WooCommerce several additional WooCommerce-specific plugins were authored:

  • Agree to Terms Lightbox: an improved agree to terms and conditions page listed in an <iframe> lightbox. Vast improvement over default WooCoommerce functionality.
  • Rental Behaviors and Scheduling: Took advantage of shopping cart order meta to add custom date fields throughout the cart and checkout process. Ensures all rentals in-cart and in-order have the same schedule.
  • Custom Shipping Methods: Custom Delivery Option and Setup and Installation Quote request.

Gravity Forms Plugins

Coded a Gravity-forms specific plugin to add new functionality to the job application form:

  • Custom GForms add-on.
  • Checkbox fields to verify uploaded job application documents.
  • Parse client-configured zip download, extract filenames and require files.

Interactions

Added multiple interactions to the web site. Including an dynamic AJAX product filter on home page; numerous styled sliders and carousels (also used for custom post types); navigation mega-menu for quickly drilling-down to product retail and rental inventory; custom maps with custom icon markers.

Product Import (CSV)

Implemented and extended a plugin to import existing products from CSV, including product photos, prices, and all other product information.
