The EcoSave web site is a WordPress site with a custom WordPress theme. Migrated from Orchard CMS. It also features some advanced multi-site functionality.
The EcoSave site network consists of the U.S. site and Australian / New Zealand sites (two sites totals). The case studies, blog posts, projects, and most other content is shared between these sites. To this end a multi-site content replication and sharing plugin was authored. The plugin automatically federates content from a master content site. A WordPress admin can override the content on the U.S. or AUS site on a per-page or per-post basis.
Migrated the site content from Orchard CMS to WordPress. Coded a custom plugin the aid in the migration: to ensure all images imported correctly; all site URLs rewritten correctly; to double-check and verify imported content.
Coded a custom parent theme for use by both sites, via a child theme. Uses the same design and layout as the original site, adding WordPress capabilities, and fixing various layout inconsistencies. Each child theme makes small changes to the layout and style, while maintaining the same framework and theme structure.
